About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Brooklyn’s vibrant Brighton Beach neighborhood, Tatiana Restaurant offers an authentic journey through Eastern European and Russian culinary traditions with a dynamic twist of dance and celebration. This distinguished spot at 3152 Brighton 6th St artfully combines hearty, soulful flavors with a lively, welcoming atmosphere that invites diners to savor not just a meal, but an experience filled with warmth and cultural richness.

The menu at Tatiana reads like a love letter to Eastern European and Russian cuisine, boasting a variety of expertly crafted dishes that evoke comforting memories and adventurous tastes. Standouts like the Chicken Kiev, with its perfectly crispy exterior embracing tender, buttery chicken, and the hearty Georgian Soup Harcho, rich with fragrant spices and tender beef, showcase the depth and authenticity of their kitchen. For lovers of seafood, the Italian-Style Grilled Octopus and Fried Calamari deliver beautifully charred textures and ocean-fresh flavors, paired perfectly with homemade marinara or zesty herbs.

Tatiana’s kabob selection is nothing short of spectacular. The Ribeye Kabob promises a juicy, flavorful bite for those craving a premium cut, while the Chicken Shish Kabob and Pork Shish Kabob bring smoky, tender notes soaked in traditional marinades. The indulgent Lamb Chops “Karski”, prepared with garlic, tomatoes, and capers, are a must-try for guests who appreciate layered complexity and refined rustic elegance.

Beyond the main courses, the array of hot appetizers like the Mushroom Julienne and the iconic Georgian Khachapuri—a cheese-filled dough designed to be shared—fragrant pan-fried potatoes with shiitake mushrooms, and delicate side dishes of mashed potatoes or wild rice add satisfying depth to your meal. Sweet endings such as десерт павлова and classic Tiramisu showcase Tatiana’s pan-regional attention to detail.

What truly elevates Tatiana beyond being a mere dining spot is its vibrant, dance-infused ambiance that captures the spirit of celebration intrinsic to Russian culture. Whether you’re visiting for an intimate dinner or hosting a lively birthday party—as many delighted guests like Gabrielle Fishman and Michelle Grutman have—the restaurant delivers an unforgettable experience. Guests often praise how the staff strikes a perfect balance between attentive service and a relaxed vibe, allowing diners to savor their meals without feeling rushed.

Outdoor seating here is a rare gem, offering unobstructed views of the Brighton Beach boardwalk. Diners like Carlos Borges have highlighted this unique advantage, enjoying a chilled Baltika or cocktail while soaking in sea breezes—a perfect complement to the hearty, flavorful food. Inside, the elegant décor and thoughtfully arranged banquet spaces make celebrations feel both opulent and warmly personal.

In sum, Tatiana Restaurant is a sanctuary for those seeking an immersive Russian and Eastern European dining adventure infused with rich cultural storytelling through both taste and entertainment. The expertly prepared dishes burst with authentic flavors—from the tangy brightness of the Olivie Salad to the indulgent savoriness of a Pojarsky Cutlet—while the spirited ambiance of dance performances and heartfelt service invite you to linger, connect, and celebrate life’s moments.

If you cherish genuine hospitality, crave soulful, well-executed dishes, and desire an environment that uplifts and delights all your senses, Tatiana Restaurant is the destination that will warmly envelop you in a lasting embrace of tradition and joy.

Came for an afternoon lunch. Service was great and very attentive. They let us sit at our table for a long time without rushing over to clear anything which was appreciated. The Greek salad was very fresh and lovely.

For a prime outdoor seating experience on the Brighton Beach boardwalk, this is the place. You can enjoy a Baltika or cocktail with unobstructed beach views, a rarity in this neighborhood for dining al fresco. While Brighton offers a plethora of fantastic Russian and Uzbek culinary options, the real value of this establishment lies in its unique real estate. Yes, the service can be a bit lax, but everything slows down on the beach.

This is one of the very few Russian restaurants left standing in nyc that has a 5 star experience each time you go. Ive been to two birthday parties here with the banquet inside with live shows. Each time I have been here the tables and decor is beautiful, the service has been outstanding and the food was excellent from start to finish. You will get the full russian experience of a five course meal with cold cut plates, pickled plates, elegant french salads, bread and butter baskets and then mains of kebabs with fried potatoes, short ribs, shrimps, paella style rice and lamb chops. I also love how you can BYOB which is a big part of the experience. The drinks keep flowing with unlimited pitchers of russian fruit punch and sodas. I love the entertainment here, they have really good russian dancers who do a global show of can can dancing, tango and flamenco, ballet, folk dancing and belly dancing. I also love the way they sing happy birthday for all guests, you can so a group photo and the mc calls your group to light your candles. I love how the dj and live singers keep the party going all night with the latest hits that are russian american latino and jewish too(they also take any requests). I have easily partied here both occasions until 2 am, they know how to engage with the crowd and please everyone . Dessert is also included in banquet with fresh fruit coffee tea and pastries. I have not been a fan of their pastries thus far, theyve been dry and lack luster. I hope they can invest in more options like cookies and baked goods , not just some sad dry napolean cakes. Otherwise everything else has been tasty thus far.

My family and I went there on 12/10 for my wife’s birthday. Everything about this place was amazing. The staff was very friendly and the owner takes a lot of pride in the restaurant. My wife is originally from Russia so she knows her Russian food. She loved having her birthday dinner there. We will definitely be going back, hopefully on a weekend, so that we can enjoy the live performances. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Thanks, Eugene and the rest of the staff for a nice experience!

I celebrated my 40th birthday at Tatiana’s and it was beyond anything I could have imagined. I grew up going to the original Tatiana’s as a kid, so returning decades later for this milestone felt really special and they absolutely delivered. The food was outstanding, the service was flawless, and the performances were unreal. Every detail was so thoughtfully executed. My guests and I were completely floored by the whole experience. Tatiana’s made my birthday unforgettable, and I couldn’t recommend it more highly.
